Beginning Windows 10
This is a beginner’s class, intended for those with little or no experience with Microsoft Windows. We will be using the classroom desktop computers which have Windows 10 installed, although you may bring your own laptop computer if you wish. Much of what we will cover will be useful even if you have an older version of Windows on your own computer.
We will meet once weekly 4 times. Each class will take about 2.5 to 3 hours with a 10 minute break in the middle. There will be a little time after class for a little extra help if necessary.
We will start out with understanding computer terminology, and then progress on to using the fundamental tools and skills needed to operate your computer. With a little experience, you can begin to explore the myriad things that you can learn and do with your new skills!
Please bring a flash drive (4 GB or larger) with you to class – you will need to copy some class materials to use at home. If you do not have one, you usually can get one at Walmart, Target, Best Buy, Office Max/Depot- even most drug stores, usually for less than $10. We’ll show you how to use it in the first class.
