COURSE PREREQUISITES - Have a working knowledge of your computer and your mobile devices. (iPhone and iPad) Make sure you have the latest operating system and programs on your computers and mobile devices. (Minimum OS and iOS requirements: macOS 10.15.6 aka Catalina, iOS 13.7, and iPadOS 13.7. All apps and programs need to be up to date.) Have intermediate computer skills. Have the Zoom App installed on your iPad or computer and arrive 10 minutes early to class to make sure you have access to Zoom.
COURSE DESCRIPTION - One 75 minute session.
This class is for the Mac User who has unanswered how to questions about a few of the following Apple Programs:
Air Drop Mac Starter Kit
Apple Service, Shop Mail
& Support Messages
Books aka iBooks Music
Calendar Notes
Contacts Photos
FaceTime Podcasts
Files App Reminders
iCloud Shortcuts
iPad, iPhone, Apple Watch Starter kits Siri
iTunes Starter Guides
Keynote Text Edit
There is a pdf document that a student can download and explore any time is already on the SBCC eLearning website. Because Macs, iPads, and iPhones have their own operating systems, these devices work a tad differently depending on the program you want to use on which device. When applicable, information for the Apple Watch is given depending on the program. In this class, you will be given an orientation to this pdf document, so you can navigate through it whenever you wish. The instructor will answer questions from student in a Round Robin format. A student may say “pass” if they want when it is his/her time.
COURSE MATERIALS – This class will be using Zoom. Have the Basic Apple Programs file already downloaded to your computer before class. Also, please write down any questions you may have before class. If you need special accommodations, let the instructor know in an email when you register for the class.
