Tune Up Your PC
This class meets for one full afternoon from 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM
Almost every PC owner has encountered dozens of unsolicited offers to tune up, speed up or cleanup his or her PC – often before you leave the store. And almost every PC will eventually have problems with malware, unwanted software and less than optimal performance; in fact, most new PCs are delivered in that condition!
Checking for and removing malware, eliminating unused or unnecessary background programs and removing useless clutter can significantly improve your computer’s performance.
Many of these common causes of impaired PC performance can be solved without consulting a professional or purchasing expensive registry cleaners, tune up utilities or online maintenance services. Windows 10 performs some of these tasks automatically, obviating the need for many of these utility programs.
We will review how you can improve and optimize your computer’s performance as well as prevent future problems with effective and FREE programs.
This class will be taught using the classroom desktop PCs with Windows 10 Pro installed. You may alternatively bring your own laptop and connect to the classroom wireless network. Please bring a personal flash drive with at least 0.5GB of free space to copy the class materials for home use.
