Meet Windows 10
This class meets for one full afternoon from one 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM
Windows 7 support from Microsoft ends January 14, 2020. If you are still using Windows 7, it’s time to start considering your alternatives. This class is intended for those who are familiar with a previous version of Windows and are considering purchasing a new Windows 10 computer or have recently done so.
While many features of Windows 10 are similar to prior versions, this is a complete revision of Windows – which is revised again every six months! We will review changes in the user interface and filing system and discuss many of the new and changed features available, especially those you are likely to use on a daily basis. While this class will get you started, there are several other Windows 10 classes that you may want to take as well.
This class will be taught using the classroom desktop PCs with Windows 10 Pro installed. You may alternatively bring your own laptop and connect to the classroom wireless network. Please bring a personal flash drive with at least 0.5GB of free space to copy the class materials for home use.
