About this event

Tor Browser: Exploring the Web with Maximum Privacy

Step into the world of secure, anonymous browsing with the Tor Browser — a high-security browser built on Firefox that no other browser can match for privacy. In this hands-on class, you’ll learn how to install and use Tor, whether on your own laptop or on our classroom computers. We’ll demystify the Surface Web, the Deep Web, and the so-called “Dark Web,” and show you how Tor protects your identity by encrypting your data and routing it through a network of volunteer-run servers. You’ll also discover how to access privacy-focused “onion” sites and browse without being tracked by advertisers or other third parties. No prior experience needed — we’ll guide you every step of the way.

Note: This is a 2 ½ - 3 hour class with a break
