Windows 11: Getting Familiar with your PC
This class is for those new to Windows 11 or have upgraded from Windows 10. Please bring a flash drive if you want a copy of the class presentation (PowerPoint, PDF and Videos used in class.) In this class we’ll be covering the following with some hands-on exercises.
- GUI (Graphical User Interface): click, right click, double click, etc.
- The Start Menu - hub for accessing applications, files, and settings
- Best Practices… don’t put “everything” on desktop
- Working With Windows: how to open; switch, move, resize & using Virtual Desktops
- Pinning Apps to Taskbar- quick App access with a single click
- Using Snap layouts - keep multiple windows open and visible at the same time,
- Quick Settings - easy way to change settings like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and volume.
- System Info & Hardware – where to find your computer’s info
- Flash Drive tips, Sleep vs Hibernate. Restart & Shutting down
