COURSE PREREQUISITES

This course is demonstrated on a classroom PC, but most features work on Macs and Android devices as well

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Two 75 minute sessions.

The web browser is arguably the most important piece of software on your computer. You spend much of your time online inside a browser: When you search, chat, email, shop, bank, read the news, and watch videos online, you do it all using your browser.

Google Chrome is an internet browser that combines a minimal design with sophisticated technology to make the web faster, safer, and easier. It works with most any computer system and is designed to be fast in every possible way. It's quick to start up, loads web pages in a snap, and runs complex web applications fast. Launched in September of 2008, Chrome became the world's most popular browser in less than 3 years!

Learn how to set up and use this established favorite of experienced internet surfers. Chrome is available as a free download; hundreds of extensions and add-on features are also free.

COURSE MATERIALS

Students should bring a personal Flash or Jump drive for transporting files between the classroom and home.
