MS WORD- INTERMEDIATE
COURSE ENROLLMENT - Enrollment for this class is limited to 12 students
COURSE LOCATION - Silicon room at the HOA2 Arts and Crafts Center
WORD AVAILABILITY- 8 computers with PC Office software & 4 club computers with Macintosh Office software. You may want to bring your own computer.
PREREQUISITES - Successful completion of MS Word class or experienced MS Word user. For both PC & Mac users.
COURSE DESCRIPTION - Four 75 minute sessions over 4 weeks.
This is a course to introduce the principles of design and desktop publishing using the Microsoft WORD 2016 or Office 365 program.
This multi-session course will teach the creation of publication documents (newsletters, flyers, brochures, calendars, etc.) combining text, graphics, tables, and word art. Topics will include use of:
-Text styles, text boxes, columns,
-Pictures, clip art, word art, tables, shapes
-Headers, footers, page numbers, table of contents
-Using templates- brochures, certificates, calendars, flyers, greeting cards, invitations, etc.
This course is meant for experienced Word users.
COURSE MATERIALS - Have a personal Flash drive for transporting files between the classroom and home.
