It's true! Sometimes the best things in life are FREE!
While there are plenty of free software programs and hundreds of web sites listing them, we have narrowed our recommendations down to those truly worthy of consideration. We will describe a selection of the best available free software packages, the safest places to find them, how to obtain and install them - and some of the common hazards to avoid.
The allotted time will permit only limited demonstration or discussion; consider taking "PC Discussions"; this is an open forum allowing more lengthy PC related questions and problem solving not adequately addressed in our other classes.
COURSE MATERIALS - Students should have a personal Flash or Jump drive for transporting files between the classroom and home.
